State League Update- tough start but looking to a good second half

A slow start to the Season with injuries and exams and some tough competition, Dalkeith’s State League team heads into the long break sitting 6th with two wins over Peppermint Grove and Bayswater at home. Some great wins by touring pro Dane Propoggia,Josiah Tyson (C), 3 set specialist Dylan McCloskey, big hitting Ollie Henderson and a win on debut by Christian Harding have been the standout singles results.

Dalkeith’s doubles performance have seen some great come-from-behind wins featuring McCloskey and Matt Rosso and all players have delivered gutsy performances. In a competition against teams with touring pros Gavin Van Pepperzeel, Brydan Klein, world #304 and John Peers world #2 doubles champion, nationally ranked players and State coaches, this competition is featuring some of the best tennis talent.
