Some feedback from a happy attendee: "Just wanted to say thanks to the people organising and supporting the Xmas twilight tennis extravaganza for our younger members yesterday. I know the grass will how greener with all those water pistol being used. And the huge range of pizzas went down really well with everyone - recharged some of the energy just in time for Santa turning up with presents. Dalkeith Tennis Club needs your help! You may have heard of our DTC Facilities project, which is run in partnership with the Australian Sports Foundation to enable donations to be tax deductible. This project is raising money for much needed resurfacing of our hard courts. These hardcourts are a key aspect of our club, as they allow play under lights as well as various weather conditions. All of our 10 hardcourts require attention, ranging from minor maintenance to full scale resurfacing. We are planning on seeking some grant funding for this project, but we are also hoping for support from our membership base to achieve our goal. State League Update- tough start but looking to a good second half A slow start to the Season with injuries and exams and some tough competition, Dalkeith’s State League team heads into the long break sitting 6th with two wins over Peppermint Grove and Bayswater at home. Some great wins by touring pro Dane Propoggia,Josiah Tyson (C), 3 set specialist Dylan McCloskey, big hitting Ollie Henderson and a win on debut by Christian Harding have been the standout singles results. Dalkeith’s doubles performance have seen some great come-from-behind wins featuring McCloskey and Matt Rosso and all players have delivered gutsy performances.
